With over a billion people, it’s no surprise that India is a booming emerging market for smartphones. In fact, the country is projected to surpass the U.S. as the second largest smartphone market in the world by 2019. That rapid growth means that the country is producing interesting, affordable smartphones, for instance, Gionee just launched its A1 Plus smartphone with dual camera and fast charging in this emerging market.
For a mid-range device, the A1 Plus is loaded with premium features. The A1 Plus comes with Gionee’s facial recognition system and bokeh-selfie mode to deliver a high-quality photography experience, along with its 13MP+5MP rear dual camera and 20 MP front camera. The smartphone is powered by a 4550 mAh battery, which Gionee claims it offers two days of no charging, regardless of web browsing and video streaming. Additionally, Gionee touts its ultrafast charging capability, giving users two-hour talk time in just 300 seconds charging. At the heart of the A1 Plus is a MediaTek Helio P25 Octa-core processor with 4GB RAM, 64 GB ROM and 256 GB expandable memory.
Other notable specifications include a fingerprint sensor, 6-inch full-HD display with features such as Split Screen, as well as Maxx Audio VOLTE.
